CAIC’s Fall Lieder Lounge on October 29, 2024 commemorates the centenary of the passing of the composer, Giacomo Puccini. Soprano Laquita Mitchell curates a program of beautiful art songs by the seminal opera composer, as well as the songs of his operatic contemporaries, who similarly expanded the breadth of song through their keen sense of musical drama. Laquita is joined by Chicago-favorite, pianist Craig Terry.
Featuring works by Giacomo Puccini, Claude Debussy, Ottorino Respighi and more.
